Matthew Jukes
Matthew is the UK’s leading wine expert. He spends much of his time travelling and tasting wine around the globe and samples more than 40,000 wines a year in his efforts to find the most interesting, most fascinating wines possible. His book, The Wine List, is the UK’s best selling wine guide year on year and his column for the Daily Mail is the most read wine column in the UK. Matthew has been the buyer at the legendary Bibendum Restaurant in the historic Michelin Building, on London’s Fulham Road, for over 15 years, but has never undertaken to buy for private clients – until now. "I see so many epic wines on my travels and tasting tours but they never make it on to our tables in the UK," says Matthew. "With Quintessentially Wine I can put them in front of a discerning group of people who will appreciate them to the full. That’s incredibly exciting and rewarding." |

Ian Richardson - Head of UK Sales
Born in London, Ian worked in the wine trade on the private client side for 16 years, before joining Quintessentially Wine in April 2007. Having travelled around many of the worlds most famous wine producing regions, his favourite wines are those heralding from the vineyards of Bordeaux, Burgundy and of course, Champagne! With a keen enthusiasm for all the wines in the Quintessentially Wine portfolio, Ian is also on hand to assist with any requests members have for wines that do not appear on our list and is more than happy to discuss your needs should you be building up a collection and require advice. His other interests are music, football, cricket, reading and cooking. |

Alan Macdonald - Senior Wine Advisor
Alan puts all the blame for finding his passion for wine on his father! Alan made the move to London, from Australia, in 2003 to broaden his wine horizons and has never looked back. Through a decade in the Wine Retail side of the industry, Alan has developed a love for wine encompassing many regions but Burgundy is the one that has definitely struck a chord! He prides himself on his attention to detail and in making sure every member is taken care of with every request – be it everyday drinking wines to First Growth Bordeaux. His other interests include playing the guitar and singing, cooking and golf. |

Cecilia Pasqua - Marketing Manager
Originally from Verona in the north east of Italy, Cecilia comes from a family who have been producing and selling wine for over 85 years.
After having studied Politics and International Relations in Milan and the Netherlands, in 2004 Cecilia moved to London to focus on her career.
Since then she has been working in the wine industry, completing the WSET Advanced Certificate as well as working in both the retail and distribution side of the wine business.
In 2008 she will look to broaden her wine knowledge by completing the WSET Diploma in wine.
Being truly Italian, Cecilia loves good food and wine, travel and fitness including skiing in the Alps and is passionate about yoga and oriental cultures.

Harry Duberly - Sales Advisor
Harry joined Quintessentially Wine in January of this year after 8 years of experience in the wine trade and he has spent the last 3 years running fine wine shops in London. His passion for wine has been fuelled by extensive travels to the great wine regions of the world and of course eating in their finest restaurants. Apart from his love of the classics from France and Italy he has also a great love for the food and wine of South Africa. With his extensive experience Harry will be happy to help you out with any question or request you might have. His other interests include a love sport, in particular cricket, golf and beating Alan at squash. |

Chris Orr - Global Managing Director
Chris has edited most of the major wine titles in the UK, was part of the management team that set up the successful Virgin Wines online for Richard Branson and has spent more than 15 years, writing about and selling wine in the UK and worldwide. Chris' other hobbies involve a keen interest in open water kayaking. |
